1. European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) Blue Economy program
Navlandis participates in the EMFF Blue Economy call with the project Foldable Shipping Containers for Sustainable Blue Growth.
The 30-month project, which began on October 1, 2020, aims to deploy 100 Zbox containers for operational validation, including connectivity and traceability tools in several units.
The objective of the project is to put the technology into operation on real routes, implement improvements in the industrial manufacturing process and consolidate the exploitation model. Companies interested to include these containers in their routes can contact us directly:

3. SME Innovation Projects (INNOVA-CV)
During the period 01/01/2019 – 10/31/2020, Navlandis has executed the project «Design optimization, evolution of the product family and industrialization of the serial production of Zbox, an innovative folding maritime container».
This project was focused in:
Design and development of versions of the Zbox 20ft and 40ft High Cube folding containers:
Complying the requirements of the CSC (2014), ISO 1496-1: 2013 + A1: 2016 and LRCCS (2018) certifications, either unfolded or folded.
With design and operation optimized for possible repairs and for the industrialization of its manufacture.
Design and development of tools for mass production of both Zbox folding container models.
The project has been divided into three phases, each of them including the construction of a container prototype in accordance with the project objectives and the performance of certification tests.
As a result of the project, two prototypes of Zbox 20 ‘have been built, the last one meeting all certification requirements. The mass production tools corresponding to this model have also been built, so the company is in position to start manufacturing the first series of Zbox containers.
Regarding the Zbox 40 ‘HC version, a complete container design has been done and several of its parts have been prototyped, without reaching the construction of the final prototype due to the expiration of the project execution time, among others.
Total eligible cost: € 277,743.14
Grant awarded: € 124,984.41
